 the frequences:Cabel: FAB starts with transmission in Febr. 1991 via Cabelchanal E 12 and the chanel SK 16. With this world biggest cabelnet you get more then over 1,8 Mio. households in Berlin and Brandenburg. Antenna: FAB has since 1994 also digital terestric transmission (DVB-T) via Antenna chanel 5. DVB-T: free to air in Berlin, Brandenburg, Sachsen-Anhalt und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The newest generation of mobilphones has the possibility to receive DVBT signals. All together has FAB a technical outreach from over 5,3 Mio. People (over 14 years old). Satellite: FAB has a licence for satellite transmission. On the roof of the FAB building is an uplink platform for dishes til 3,8 meters diameter. For the satellite nile sat would be a dish good from 1,8 meters (digital broadcast) til 3,0 meters diameter (analog broadcast). The costs for the dish with transmitter and heating (germany is cold) is in germany about 30000,- EUR.
On the roof the house (18m high) is also a downlink platform for more then 8 dishes and a transmission tower 10 meter. |
